Angie will show you the correct way to mix drinks with the proper bar tools, as well as how to serve a signature drink for a crowd and how to stage a drink area. You will discuss basic bar equipment, new and inventive ideas for garnishing, and how to make your own fresh mixers. You will sample classic, seasonally-fresh pre-prohibition cocktails. Classes run for two hours, are all inclusive, and can include up to 12 students. Contact The Traveling Elixir Fixer for more information.

Cottage Cocktails
Cocktails for the Cottage Lifestyle

Here in Michigan, the Cottage is not only a vacation getaway, it is a tradition that has been handed down from one generation to the next. It is a place where we escape the trials and tribulations of everyday life. It is where we take daily naps, read books that we've been meaning to read, find sand in the sheets, and take slow walks on the beach at sunset. Most importantly, it is filled with our most fond memories - memories of family, friends, and good times. Cottage Cocktails are created to capture the personality and charm that was developed by the many generations at these cherished cottages - in liquid form.  They awaken the sensory experience of the hot summer days and crisp cool evenings spent away from our everyday lives at our vacation hideaways. Cottage cocktails are crafted, from garden- and orchard-to-glass, with ingredients that are sourced locally and that represent Pure Michigan Cottage Life in all its glory. These cocktails are meant to be shared with friends and family - and most importantly, they are meant to be enjoyed at The Cottage. Contact us for further information.
